Cookie policy

Updated October 6, 2026 2 minute read

Which cookies the Yumiya website uses, why they're needed and how to manage them. We only set what the site and dashboard need to work, plus a couple of preferences.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember that you’re signed in, which theme and language you picked and whether you dismissed a notice. Cookies can’t run programs or read other files on your device.

Cookies we use

All cookies below are set by the Yumiya website itself. They are never shared with third parties.

Name Purpose Lifetime Type
yumiya_session Discord sign-in: keeps your dashboard session 7 days Necessary
yumiya_oauth Protects Discord sign-in from tampering, only lives while you sign in 10 minutes Necessary
yumiya_consent Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice 1 year Necessary
yumiya_theme Light or dark theme 1 year Functional
yumiya_lang Selected site language 1 year Functional

yumiya_session and yumiya_oauth only appear when you sign in to the dashboard. Over a secure connection their names start with __Host-, so the browser never shares them with other sites or subdomains.

Necessary

Discord sign-in and the dashboard’s protection against forged requests don’t work without them. They can only be disabled together with the ability to use the dashboard.

Functional

They remember your choices: theme and language. If you delete them, the site simply follows your device settings.

Signing in with Discord

When you sign in to the dashboard, Discord only shares what you allow on the authorization screen:

  • your username and avatar;
  • your server list, so we can show where you can configure the bot.

We never see or store your Discord password. See the privacy policy for details.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. It usually takes a minute:

  1. Open your browser settings

In Chrome, Edge and Opera — “Settings → Privacy and security”, in Firefox — “Settings → Privacy & Security”.

  2. Find “Cookies and site data”

There you can see all cookies for the site and delete them one by one or all at once.

  3. Delete or block cookies for the Yumiya site

Necessary cookies will be needed again when you want to sign in to the dashboard.

Changes to this policy

If we add new cookies, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. We’ll announce important changes on the site and the support server.
